The second phase of the Brindisi airfield upgrade, taking the scheme from preliminary to pre-detailed design and into full compliance with current EASA regulations across both runways, the taxiway system and the aprons. It added a comprehensive HWD survey to measure elastic moduli and residual life, and took the design down to pavement structures calculated in FAARFIELD, new profiles and sections, holding positions set to ICAO standards, and a complete EASA airport certification checklist. The Runway 13-31 thresholds were relocated to clear the obstacle limitation surfaces.
